Understanding the Importance of Marine Surveys
A marine survey is an inspection in order to evaluate condition, safety and compliance of a vessel. They should be a top consideration for any boat buyer. The process involves visual inspection, measurements and testing by a qualified marine surveyor. A boat inspection will typically involve the boat out of the water for hull evaluation and moisture readings. For sailboat surveys, the keel and rudder mechanisms are examined as well.
